[Break News Yangju=Kim Wan-young] On the 30th, Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province, held a "Yangju Rural Space Restructuring and Regeneration Master Plan Launch Report Meeting" in the city hall situation room.
Approximately 40 people, including the mayor of Yangju, heads of agricultural organizations in Yangju City, the director of the Gyeonggi Rural Regeneration Support Center, and related public officials, attended the meeting. They discussed the need for rural space restructuring, the direction of its implementation, and related laws and regulations. They also exchanged diverse opinions on developing solutions tailored to local circumstances.
The city plans to actively restructure Yangju's rural areas beyond residential functions into spaces where people can live, work, and generate income, and rest areas where they can relax and unwind.
A Yangju City official stated, "We hope that by restoring the rural character of a place where life, work, and rest coexist, rural areas will once again become the center of regional development and serve as a catalyst for a new leap forward."
Yangju City plans to develop feasible policies through regional resident councils, administrative councils, expert advisory meetings, and consultations with relevant organizations.
