[브레이크뉴스 양주=김완영 기자] 경기도 양주시가 지난 30일 시청 상황실에서 ‘양주시 농촌공간 재구조화 및 재생 기본계획 용역 착수보고회’를 개최했다.
이날 보고회에는 양주시장을 비롯해 양주시 농업인단체장, 경기농촌재생지원센터장, 관련 공무원 등 40여 명이 참석해, 농촌 공간의 재구조화 필요성과 추진 방향, 관련 법령과 연계 방안 등을 공유하고 지역실정에 맞는 방안 마련을 위해 다양한 의견을 나눴다.
시는 양주시 농촌을 주거 기능에 한정하지 않고, 사람이 살아가는 삶터, 일하고 소득을 창출하는 일터, 머물며 치유와 여유를 누리는 쉼터가 조화롭게 어우러지는 공간으로 재구조화하는데 적극 나설 계획이다.
양주시 관계자는 “삶터ᐧ일터ᐧ쉼터가 공존하는 농촌다움을 회복해 농촌이 다시 지역 발전의 중심이 되고, 새로운 도약의 계기가 되기를 기대한다”고 전했다.
양주시는 앞으로 권역별 주민협의회, 행정협의회, 전문가 자문회의, 관계 기관 협의 등을 거쳐 실현 가능한 정책으로 구체화해 나갈 계획이다.
