[브레이크뉴스 양주=김완영 기자] 경기도 양주시는 학교법인 서정대학교가 경기주택도시공사(GH)와 ‘경기양주 테크노밸리’ 산업시설용지에 대한 매매계약을 체결하면서 테크노밸리 입주를 최종 확정했다고 밝혔다.
계약 대상은 테크노밸리 내 산업시설용지 G-2·G-3 블록으로, 면적은 총 1만760㎡다. 서정대학교는 해당 부지에 산학협력과 연구개발 기능을 연계한 시설을 조성할 계획이다.
서정대는 테크노밸리 입주 기업을 대상으로 기업 수요를 반영한 교육과정 운영, 현장실습과 채용 연계, 공동 연구와 기술자문 등 산학협력 프로그램을 단계적으로 추진할 방침이다.
경기양주 테크노밸리는 양주시 마전동 일원에 양주시와 경기주택도시공사(GH), 경기도가 공동으로 조성 중인 첨단산업단지로, 규모는 21만8천㎡(약 7만 평)다. 첨단제조업과 정보통신기술(ICT) 산업을 중심으로 직·주·락·학(職住樂學) 기능이 결합된 복합단지로 조성하고 있다.
시 관계자는 “서정대학교 입주로 산학협력 기반이 강화될 것으로 기대한다”며 “관계기관과 협력해 테크노밸리 조성과 분양을 차질 없이 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
