대구 북구, ‘청년도전지원사업’ 본격 시행

【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 북구청이 구직을 단념했거나 사회 진입에 어려움을 겪는 청년을 지원하기 위해 고용노동부 공모사업인 ‘2026년 청년도전지원사업’을 본격 시행한다.

북구청은 지난 2일 발대식을 열고 올해 사업 참여 인원을 130명으로 확대했다고 10일 밝혔다. 이는 지난해 목표 인원 120명을 초과 달성하고 이수율 112%를 기록하는 등 우수한 성과를 거둔 데 따른 것이다.

청년도전지원사업은 취업 준비 과정에서 어려움을 겪는 청년을 대상으로 발굴부터 상담, 역량 강화, 사후관리까지 통합 지원하는 것이 특징이다. 참여 청년에게는 1대1 밀착 상담을 통해 진로를 탐색하고, 직무 역량 강화를 위한 맞춤형 프로그램이 제공된다. 수료 후에는 취업 보상금이 지급되며 국민취업지원제도, 미래내일 일경험 사업 등 기존 고용지원 정책과도 연계해 취업까지 이어지도록 지원한다.

특히 북구청은 관내 23개 동행정복지센터와 구립도서관 등 지역 기관과 협력해 취업 취약 청년을 조기에 발굴하고, 개인별 상황에 맞는 정보를 제공하는 데 주력하고 있다. 사업 운영은 위탁기관인 ㈜에스에이피치 북구지사가 맡는다.

배광식 북구청장은 “지난해 거둔 성과는 지역 청년들의 도전 의지가 확인된 결과”라며 “청년들이 사회적 고립에서 벗어나 당당한 사회 구성원으로 성장할 수 있도록 북구청이 든든한 버팀목이 되겠다”고 말했다.
