이은권·강승규 시도당위원장 등 합동 기자회견… “차별적·부실한 통합안” 질타

국민의힘 대전시당과 충남도당이 현재 정부와 더불어민주당 주도로 추진되는 대전·충남 행정통합에 대해 ‘내용도 절차도 부실한 졸속 행정’이라며 강력한 제동을 걸고 나섰다.
이은권 국민의힘 대전시당위원장과 강승규 충남도당위원장, 조원휘 대전시의회 의장, 홍성현 충남도의회 의장 및 당 소속 시·도의원 일동은 10일 오후 합동 기자회견을 열고, 현재 진행 중인 통합 논의의 전면 재검토와 주민투표 실시를 강력히 요구했다.
이은권 위원장은 회견문에서 “지금 추진되는 행정통합은 지역의 백년대계를 좌우할 중대한 사안임에도 불구하고, 더불어민주당이 추진하는 법안은 검증 없이 졸속으로 만들어졌다”고 포문을 열었다.
특히 광주·전남 등 타 지역 통합 논의와 비교해 재정 책임과 권한 이양 수준에서 형평성을 잃었다는 점을 강조했다.
이 위원장은 “막대한 지원을 약속하는 듯 보이지만 법적 구속력이 없는 ‘말뿐인 대책’에 불과하다”며, “중앙정부 협의라는 단서에 묶여 실제 작동하기 어려운 권한 이양 구조는 결국 대전·충남을 이름만 남은 특별자치도로 전락시킬 것”이라고 경고했다.
