<브레이크뉴스 가평= 이용하 기자> 경기 가평군이 주민 스스로 지역 현안을 발굴하고 해결해 나가는 '2026년 마을공동체 주민제안공모사업'의 최종 지원 대상 13곳을 확정 지었다고 19일 밝혔다.
군에 따르면 이번 공모에는 지난 1월 5일 모집 공고 이후 총 21개 공동체가 도전장을 내밀었다. 현장 실사와 전문가 심사, 그리고 마을공동체위원회의 엄격한 심의를 거쳐 13개 팀이 최종 지원의 혜택을 받게 됐다.
선정된 공동체들은 활동의 지속성을 보장받기 위해 향후 단계에 따라 최대 3년간 200만 원에서 400만 원 규모의 활동비를 차등 지원받는다. 가평군은 단순한 자금 지원에 그치지 않고, 주민들의 지역 문제 해결 역량을 끌어올릴 수 있는 맞춤형 교육과 공동체 간 네트워킹을 위한 성과공유회도 함께 마련할 방침이다.
올해 새롭게 합류한 1단계(신규)에는 65세부터 85세 어르신들이 뭉친 '중촌 은빛하모니'를 비롯해 6곳이 선정돼 눈길을 끌었다. 2단계 도약 공동체로는 상면 구길에서 나눔 장터를 기획 중인 '위대한 탄생' 등 5곳이, 3단계 우수 공동체에는 부녀회 중심의 건강체조를 이끄는 '포래스트인'과 소통 공간을 운영하는 '목수사랑방' 2곳이 각각 이름을 올렸다.
군 관계자는 "풀뿌리 마을공동체의 활발한 움직임이 곧 건강하고 자립적인 지역사회를 만드는 든든한 초석"이라며 "앞으로도 주민들이 주도하는 다채로운 공동체 활동이 꽃피울 수 있도록 행정적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다"고 전했다.
