더불어민주당 소속 대전광역시의회 의원이 19일 대전시의회 본회의에서 대전·충남 행정구역 통합 관련 안건이 ‘반대 의견’으로 의결된 것과 관련해 강하게 반발하고 나섰다.
이들은 시의회의 결정을 “시민을 기만하는 자기부정 행태”라고 비판하며, 국민의힘 소속 의원들에게 “정치적 책임을 져야 한다”고 목소리를 높였다.
민주당 소속 김민숙·방진영 의원은 이날 발표한 공동 성명에서 “국회 행정안전위원회를 통과한 행정통합 특별법은 충청권의 발전을 위한 대승적 결단임에도 대전시의회가 정쟁의 도구로 삼았다”며 “자기 논리를 스스로 뒤집는 행위는 시민을 우롱하는 처사”라고 주장했다.
