성불암을 이끄는 도원 스님은 “소외되고 어려운 이웃들의 밥상에 작게나마 따뜻한 보탬이 되기를 바라는 마음으로 신도들과 함께 쌀을 준비했다”며, “앞으로도 지역사회와 호흡하고 고통을 나누는 사찰로서 지속적인 나눔을 실천해 나가겠다”고 뜻을 전했다.
이에 김차자 가산면장은 “매년 잊지 않고 어려운 이웃을 위해 따뜻한 나눔을 이어가 주시는 성불암 측에 깊은 감사를 드린다”며, “기탁해 주신 귀한 쌀은 홀로 계신 어르신과 저소득 가구 등 도움이 가장 절실한 곳에 신속하고 투명하게 전달하겠다”고 화답했다.
