파주시가 유아들의 자연 친화적 성장을 지원하는 '2026년 유아숲체험원' 프로그램 참여자를 오는 3월 16일부터 모집한다고 밝혔다.
유아숲체험은 도심 속 아이들이 숲에서 뛰어놀며 계절별 자연물을 오감으로 느끼는 산림교육 프로그램으로, 환경 감수성 향상은 물론 신체 발달과 정서적 안정에도 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.
올해 프로그램은 율곡수목원, 탄현, 금촌, 운정, 학령산, 문산, 월롱, 초롱꽃, 교하 등 파주시 내 총 9개소에서 운영된다.
운영 기간은 4월 1일부터 11월 30일까지 8개월간이며, 3세부터 취학 전 아동이라면 누구나 무료로 참여할 수 있다.

프로그램은 세 가지 유형으로 나뉜다.
관내 어린이집·유치원 등 기관을 대상으로 평일에 운영하는 정기형·자율형과, 파주시에 거주하는 가족을 대상으로 매월 네 번째 주 토요일에 운영하는 가족형이다.
특히 올해부터는 신청 방식이 기존 이메일 접수에서 파주시청 누리집을 통한 온라인 신청으로 개선돼 이용자 편의가 크게 높아졌다.
어린이집·유치원 등 기관의 경우 신청에 앞서 파주시청 누리집에서 '이용기관 등록'을 사전에 완료해야 한다.
김수태 파주시 산림정원과장은 "유아숲체험원은 아이들이 자연 속에서 몸과 마음을 건강하게 키울 수 있는 소중한 배움의 공간"이라며 "더 많은 아이들이 안전하고 즐겁게 숲을 체험할 수 있도록 운영에 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
