[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 봄 향기 가득한 제철 취나물이 26일 고성농협 농산물 공판장에서 초매식을 열고 본격적인 출하를 시작했다.
군은 취나물 경매 진행 상황을 직접 살피며 출하 물량과 가격 흐름을 점검한 뒤 중도매인·농업인들을 만나 현장의 목소리를 청취하는 시간을 가졌다.
새고성농협이 주관한 이날 공판장에서는 총 1,303kg이 출하되어 총1175만4000원의 판매액을 기록했다.
취나물 kg당 최고 1만2,600원, 평균 1만원에 거래됐다.
고성 취나물은 자란만의 온화한 해풍을 맞고 자라 미네랄이 풍부하고, 타 지역에 비해 향이 뛰어나고 식감이 부드러워 봄철 대표 나물로 소비자 선호도가 높다.
지난해 고성에서는 하일면, 삼산면에서 70여 농가, 25ha에서 180톤 가량 생산하며, 새고성농협 경매장을 통해 137톤, 8억6300만원을 판매했다.
배진효 새고성농협조합장은 “우리 조합원들이 정성스럽게 키운 취나물이 좋은 가격을 받아 농가 소득향상에 큰 도움이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
이수원 농식품유통과장은 “고성 취나물은 지역 농업인의 정성과 청정 자연환경이 만들어 낸 우리 지역을 대표하는 봄철 특산물”라며, “철저한 품질관리와 안정적인 판로확보를 통해 농가 소득 증대에 최선을 다하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
