[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 창녕군은 1961년부터 이어져 온 3·1민속문화제를 (사)3·1민속문화향상회 주최·주관으로 지난달 28일부터 3일까지 영산 국가무형유산 놀이마당과 연지공원 일원에서 개최했다.
3·1민속문화제는 영산 지역의 독립만세운동 정신을 계승하고, 지역 고유의 민속놀이를 보존하기 위해 마련된 유서 깊은 행사다.
전야제에서는 제등축하 시가행진과 쥐불놀이, 3·1만세운동 재현, 낙화 불꽃놀이, 통영오광대 초청공연이 펼쳐 졌으며. 1일에는 쇠머리대기 안전기원제와 3·1독립결사대 위령제, 구계목도 시연회, 개막식, 골목줄다리기, 통일메아리악단 공연이 진행되며, 국가무형유산인 영산쇠머리대기 공개행사가 진행 됐다.
2일에는 삼일민속 궁도대회와 시무구지 놀이, 청소년 페스티벌, 마당극 등 다양한 공연이 펼쳐졌다. 이날 종일 내린 비로 인하여 일부 공연은 축소 되기도 하는 아쉬움이 있었다.
3일에는 따오기춤 공연과 꼬마줄다리기에 이어 국가무형유산 영산줄다리기 공개행사가 축제의 대미를 장식했다.
또한 연지공원 일원에서는 짚공예, 자개 손거울 만들기, 전통 민속놀이 등 다양한 체험 부스가 운영돼 관람객들에게 풍성한 즐길 거리를 제공했다.
영산쇠머리대기와 영산줄다리기는 군민의 화합과 단결을 도모하고 지역민의 안녕과 태평을 기원하는 대동놀이로서 문화유산적 가치를 인정받고 있다.
특히 영산줄다리기는 유네스코 인류무형유산으로 등재돼 국제적 위상을 갖고 있다.
