파주시는 아동·청소년의 알레르기질환 예방과 건강한 교육 환경 조성을 위해 오는 3월 6일까지 ‘2026년 아토피·천식 안심학교’ 신규 참여기관 5개소를 모집한다.

‘아토피·천식 안심학교’는 아토피피부염과 천식, 알레르기비염 등 알레르기질환 학생을 조기에 발견하고 체계적으로 관리해 학교에서 건강하게 생활하며 학습할 수 있도록 지원하는 예방관리사업이며 학교 중심의 관리체계를 구축해 응급상황에 신속히 대응하고, 질환에 대한 올바른 인식을 확산하는 한편 학생들의 자가 관리 능력 향상을 돕는 데 목적이 있다.
안심학교로 지정되면 알레르기질환 학생 실태조사 및 관리 지원을 비롯해 학생·학부모·교직원 대상 예방관리 교육이 제공된다.
또한 천식 응급 꾸러미와 보습제 등 관련 물품 지원과 함께 각종 교육·홍보자료가 제공되며, 보건소 및 아토피천식 교육정보센터와 연계한 전문 교육 프로그램도 지원받을 수 있다.
운정보건소는 2020년 23개소를 시작으로 매년 안심학교를 확대해 2025년까지 총 50개소를 운영해 왔으며 지역사회와 연계한 예방교육과 건강 환경 조성을 지속적으로 추진하며 알레르기질환 관리 기반을 강화하고 있다.
파주시 관계자는 “알레르기질환은 꾸준한 관리가 무엇보다 중요해 영유아기부터 학령기까지 연속성 있는 관리 체계가 필요하다”고 말했으며 이어 “관내 보육·교육기관의 적극적인 참여를 통해 아이들이 더욱 안전하고 건강하게 성장할 수 있는 환경을 조성하겠다”고 밝혔다.
