[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산 금정경찰서는 지난 9일, 청사 내 화재 발생 시 위기대응 능력을 강화하고 유관기관 간 협력 체계를 점검하기 위해 금정소방서와 합동소방훈련을 실시했다.
이번 훈련에는 금정경찰서 초동대응팀 및 자위소방대, 금정소방서 소방대원 등 70여 명의 인력이 투입되었으며, 소방차와 구급차 등 장비가 동원되어 실전과 같은 분위기 속에서 진행됐다.
훈련은 청사 내 가상의 화재 상황을 연출해 ▲인명 대피 및 구조 훈련 ▲화재진압 훈련 ▲소화기·옥내소화전 사용법 교육 순으로 이어졌다. 특히 초기 화재 발생 시 직원들의 임무와 행동 요령을 숙지하고, 신속한 피난을 유도하는 등 초기 대처 능력 향상과 소방안전의식 고취에 역점을 뒀다.
신경범 금정경찰서장은 “이번 합동훈련은 경찰과 소방이 긴밀하게 협력하며 화재 대응력을 한층 높일 수 있는 소중한 계기였다”며 “앞으로도 정기적인 교육과 실전 훈련을 통해 화재대응태세를 확립하고, 긴급 상황 발생 시 시민과 직원의 인명피해가 발생하지 않도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 강조했다.

금정경찰서는 향후 금정소방서와의 정기적인 합동 훈련을 정례화하여 협력 체계를 더욱 공고히 하고, 현장 대응 역량을 지속적으로 강화해 나갈 방침이다.

The Geumjeong Police Station in Busan conducted a joint fire drill with the Geumjeong Fire Station on March 9 to enhance crisis response capabilities and inspect the cooperative system between relevant agencies in preparation for potential fires within the building.
The joint exercise involved approximately 70 participants, including the Geumjeong Police initial response team, the self-defense fire brigade, and firefighters from the Geumjeong Fire Station. Fire engines and ambulances were deployed to create a realistic training environment.
The drill focused on improving initial response capabilities by simulating a virtual fire scenario that required simultaneous evacuation and suppression efforts. Key training components included lifesaving and evacuation protocols during the early stages of a fire, mastery of individual duties and action plans, and practical education on using fire extinguishers and indoor hydrants. These efforts were aimed at increasing the fire safety awareness of all staff members.
Shin Kyung-beom, Chief of the Geumjeong Police Station, stated that the exercise allowed staff to significantly boost their fire response readiness while gaining valuable experience in collaborating with the fire department. He emphasized that the station will continue to establish a robust fire response posture and prioritize safety education and training to prevent any loss of life during emergencies.
Moving forward, the Geumjeong Police Station plans to regularize these joint fire drills with the Geumjeong Fire Station. This initiative aims to solidify the partnership between the police and fire services while continuously strengthening early-stage fire response capabilities.
