고양특례시 덕양구 성사2동 통장협의회는 지난 10일 봄을 맞아 안전하고 쾌적한 마을 환경을 조성하기 위해 환경정화 활동을 실시했다.

이번 활동은 새봄을 맞아 도로변의 환경을 정비하고 다가오는 봄과 여름철 집중호우 시 배수 불량으로 인한 침수 피해를 선제적으로 예방하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 통장협의회 회원들은 겨울 내내 쌓인 관내 도로변 빗물받이의 낙엽과 퇴적물을 집중적으로 수거해 배수 기능을 점검하며 도로 침수 예방에 힘썼으며 또한 초등학교 주변 통학로 일대를 돌며 쓰레기를 수거하는 등 깨끗한 등하교 환경을 조성했다.
정춘호 통장협의회장은 바쁜 일정 속에서도 마을을 위해 적극적으로 참여해 준 통장들에게 감사하다며 앞으로도 통장협의회는 지역사회를 위한 봉사활동에 솔선수범하겠다고 말했다.
