고양소방서는 지난 2월 28일 북한산 염초봉 인근 절벽 지형에 고립된 등산객 1명을 신속하게 구조했다고 밝혔다.

고양소방서에 따르면 이번 사고는 60대 A씨가 염초봉 인근 절벽 지형에서 하산하던 중 길을 잃고 고립되면서 발생했으며 119구조대는 신고 접수 직후 현장에 출동해 드론수색조와 등반조 등 2개 조로 나눠 수색 활동을 전개했다.
드론수색조는 공중 수색을 통해 A씨의 위치를 신속히 발견하고 정확한 위치를 특정하고 확보한 영상과 좌표 정보를 기반으로 등반조를 현장으로 유도해 수색 시간을 크게 단축했다.
현장에 투입된 등반조는 전문 산악구조 장비를 활용해 A씨에게 접근한 뒤 신체 상태를 확인하고 안전장비를 착용시켜 안전지대까지 이동시키며 구조를 완료했다.
구조된 A씨는 이후 고양소방서 홈페이지 ‘칭찬합시다’ 게시판에 “고립되어 공포에 떨던 저를 친절하게 안심시켜 주고 신속히 출동해 구조해 준 구조대원들에게 감사하다”는 글을 남기며 고마움을 전했다.
고양구조대 소방장 박준흠은 “드론을 통한 위치 확인과 숙달된 로프 구조기술이 결합돼 신속하고 안전한 구조가 가능했다”고 설명했다.
