파주시 탄현면 주민자치회가 지역 내 주요 시설과 역사적 자원을 직접 살피며 주민 공동체 활성화를 위한 적극적인 행보에 나서고 있다.
탄현면 주민자치회는 매월 월례 회의를 마친 후 지역에 대한 이해를 높이고 위원 간 소통과 화합을 강화하기 위한 마을 탐방 프로그램 '우리 동네 한 바퀴'를 운영 중이다.
주민자치 위원들이 직접 마을 곳곳을 방문해 현장을 둘러보고, 지역의 역사와 자원을 몸소 체험하는 방식으로 진행된다.
지난 2월에는 파주시농협쌀조합공동사업법인을 방문해 쌀 유통 및 가공 과정을 견학했다.
위원들은 지역 농업의 역할과 중요성을 되새기며 농가 소득 증대를 위한 공동사업의 의미를 함께 나눴다.

이어 3월에는 조선시대 명재상 황희 정승의 묘소를 찾아 참배하고, 지역의 역사적 인물을 기리며 보존·계승해야 할 가치에 대해 깊이 있게 소통하는 시간을 가졌다.
