고양특례시가 하천과 계곡의 공공 기능 회복과 여름철 집중호우 피해 예방을 위해 불법행위 집중 단속에 본격 나선다.
시는 이정화 제2부시장을 단장으로 하천, 건축, 그린벨트, 식품, 위생, 산림, 환경, 농지 등 유관 부서가 총망라된 전담 태스크포스(TF)를 구성하고, 현장 점검 체계를 대폭 강화했다.

집중 단속의 주요 대상은 계곡과 하천 내에 무단으로 설치된 이동식 평상, 데크, 천막 등의 불법 시설물과 하천구역 내 불법 경작, 물건 적치 행위다.
무단 형질 변경이나 불법 영업 등 하천법 및 관련 법규를 위반하는 점용 행위 전반도 엄격히 점검할 방침이다.
특히 시는 집중호우 시 물의 흐름을 방해해 피해를 키울 수 있는 위험 시설물을 파악하기 위해 오는 6월 1일부터 2차 전수조사를 실시할 예정이다.
시는 적발된 불법 시설물에 대해 우선 원상복구 명령을 내려 자진 철거를 유도한다는 방침이다.
