민주평화통일자문회의 고양시협의회가 분단과 통일의 상징적 도시인 독일 베를린에서 한반도 평화통일을 위한 국제적 연대를 강화했다.
고양시협의회는 지난 3월 13일(현지시간) 독일 베를린 훔볼트대학교에서 북유럽협의회(협의회장 정선경)와 한반도 평화통일 공감대 확산 및 공공외교 협력 강화를 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다.

이날 협약식에는 주독일 대한민국 대사관 고동운 통일관이 참석해 한반도 정세와 평화통일 공공외교의 중요성을 강조하며 양 협의회의 결속을 격려했다.
김성주 고양시협의회장은 인사말을 통해 “베를린 장벽이 무너진 역사적 현장에서 맺은 이번 협약이 한반도 평화통일 공공외교의 의미 있는 출발점이 되길 기대한다”고 소회를 밝혔다.
특히 고양시협의회는 한국의 전통악기인 ‘징’에 업무협약서를 담아 전달하는 이색적인 퍼포먼스를 선보이며, 단순한 교류를 넘어 한국적 상징성과 평화의 메시지를 현지에 전해 눈길을 끌었다.
이에 정선경 북유럽협의회장은 해외 자문위원들 간의 협력과 국제적 공감대 형성의 중요성을 역설하며, 분단의 장벽을 넘는 소통의 가치를 담은 ‘맘만 먹으면 건널 수 있다’ 캠페인을 소개해 참석자들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.
