파주시가 민생경제 회복과 '100만 자족도시' 기틀 마련을 위해 총 2조 4,202억 원 규모의 2026년도 제1회 추가경정예산안을 편성했다고 18일 밝혔다.
이번 추경안은 올해 당초 예산보다 603억 원(2.5%) 늘어난 수치다.
회계별로는 일반회계가 577억 원(2.9%) 증가한 2조 203억 원, 특별회계는 26억 원(0.6%) 증가한 3,999억 원으로 집계됐다.
시는 국도비 보조사업 추가 내시분과 2025년 하반기 특별조정교부금을 이번 예산안에 적극 반영했다.
파주시는 우선 침체된 지역 경제에 활력을 불어넣기 위해 '지역사랑상품권 발행'에 269억 원을 전격 투입한다.
이를 통해 소비를 진작하고 소상공인의 매출 회복을 돕는다는 구상이다.
또한, 지속 가능한 성장을 위해 '공공 재생에너지 생산기지 조성'에 30억 원을 편성하며 에너지 자립도 향상과 탄소중립 실현에 속도를 낸다.

시는 ▲평화경제특구 조성(13억 원)과 ▲파주 페어 북앤컬처(10억 원) 사업을 통해 지역 산업의 경쟁력을 높이고 문화 콘텐츠를 강화할 방침이다.
