고양특례시가 산업재해 없는 안전한 근로 환경을 조성하기 위해 ‘2026년 노동안전지킴이’ 활동을 본격적으로 시작했다고 18일 밝혔다.
올해 활동하는 노동안전지킴이는 총 6명으로, 산업안전 분야에서 풍부한 실무 경력을 쌓고 전문 자격증을 보유한 베테랑들로 구성됐다.

시는 이들의 현장 대응력을 높이기 위해 지난 9일부터 5일간 기본교육을 실시했으며, 13일 발대식을 거쳐 오는 12월까지 현장 점검에 나선다.
노동안전지킴이는 지역 내 건설현장과 제조업 사업장을 직접 방문해 ▲개인보호구 착용 상태 ▲산업안전보건기준 준수 여부 ▲안전재해 예방조치 위반사항 등을 집중 점검한다.
현장에서 발견된 미흡한 사항에 대해서는 즉각적인 개선이 이루어질 수 있도록 전문적인 지도와 컨설팅을 병행할 예정이다.
특히 사고 위험이 큰 붕괴·추락 등의 고위험 현장은 고용노동부 및 산업안전보건공단과 협력해 합동 점검을 실시하며, 상대적으로 안전관리가 취약한 중·소규모 사업장을 중심으로 상시 순찰을 강화해 안전문화 정착에 앞장선다는 방침이다.
고양시 관계자는 “노동안전지킴이는 현장의 잠재적 위험 요인을 사전에 발굴해 사고를 미연에 방지하는 핵심적인 역할을 할 것”이라며 “모든 노동자가 안심하고 일터로 출근할 수 있는 안전한 산업환경을 만드는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.
