<브레이크뉴스 포천 = 김형렬 기자> (사)포천시종합자원봉사센터가 도내 31개 시군을 대상으로 한 치열한 평가에서 당당히 '우수센터'로 선정되는 벅찬 영예를 안았다.
19일 포천시에 따르면, (사)포천시종합자원봉사센터는 (사)경기도자원봉사센터가 주관한 '2026년 시군센터 변화지원 프로젝트' 종합 평가에서 경기도 내 우수센터로 최종 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

‘변화지원 프로젝트’는 급변하는 자원봉사 환경에 발빠르게 대응하고, 지역 센터의 중추적 역할과 기능을 철저히 점검 및 강화하기 위해 경기도 내 전 시군 자원봉사센터를 대상으로 추진된 핵심 사업이다.

이번 평가는 제4차 국가기본계획의 중점과제를 적극 반영해 진행됐다. ▲센터 조직 운영 및 가치 정립 ▲성장(교육·역량 강화) ▲개발(특화사업·활성화) ▲연계·협력 ▲확산(홍보) ▲재난자원봉사 활성화 등 총 6개 기준 항목과 40개 세부 지표를 종합적으로 깐깐하게 심사한 결과, 포천시를 포함한 단 6개 센터만이 우수센터로 최종 낙점됐다.

특히 포천시종합자원봉사센터는 지역적 특색을 십분 살린 '군장병 자원봉사' 운영과 더불어, 어린이부터 청소년, 가족 등 전 생애주기를 아우르는 맞춤형 봉사단 운영으로 폭넓은 계층의 참여를 이끌어낸 점에서 압도적으로 높은 점수를 받았다.
석유화 포천시종합자원봉사센터 사무국장은 "이번 쾌거는 지역 곳곳에서 묵묵히 구슬땀을 흘려주신 자원봉사자들의 숭고한 헌신이 있었기에 가능했다"며, "앞으로도 누구나 쉽게 참여할 수 있는 촘촘한 자원봉사 환경을 조성해 나가겠다"고 다짐했다.
