소상공인 지원과 전통시장 활성화 정책도 주요 공약으로 제시됐다. 박 예비후보는 포항사랑상품권 발행 규모 확대를 통해 지역 내 소비를 촉진하고, 전통시장 시설 현대화 및 리모델링을 통해 문화·관광형 시장으로 전환하겠다고 밝혔다. 특히 죽도시장의 음식물 쓰레기 처리와 악취 문제 해결을 위한 환경 개선 대책 마련도 강조했다.
