[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 의령군이 그동안 신반정보고의 소방마이스터고 전환을 중심으로 학교 경쟁력 강화를 추진해 왔으나, 교육부 정책 방향과 제도적 여건 변화 등으로 구체적인 성과를 내는 데 어려움이 있자 기존 방향을 재검토하고 지역 실정에 맞는 새로운 발전 전략을 마련하기로 했다.
이에 군은 오태완 군수를 비롯해 경상남도와 경상남도교육청 관계자, 신반정보고 교직원, 교육 전문가 등이 참석한 가운데 '신반정보고 지역맞춤형 산업인재양성 발전계획 수립‘ 용역 보고회를 지난 20일 개최하고, 학교 발전 방향 재설계에 착수했다.
이번 용역은 기존 계획을 보완하는 수준을 넘어 ‘제로베이스’에서 학교의 역할과 기능을 다시 설계하는 데 초점을 맞췄다.
의령군은 지역 산업 구조와 인구 여건을 반영해 신반정보고만의 경쟁력 있는 모델을 마련하고, 경상남도와 도교육청, 학교 간 협력을 강화하는 한편 현장 의견을 적극 반영해 실행 가능한 전략을 도출할 방침이다.
오태완 군수는 “신반정보고의 경쟁력 확보는 지역의 미래와 직결된 중요한 과제”라며 “현실에 맞는 발전 모델을 마련해 지속 가능한 교육 기반을 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.
의령군은 용역 결과를 바탕으로 신반정보고의 중장기 발전 전략을 마련하고 단계적으로 추진할 예정이다.
