포천시청소년재단 산하 청소년방과후아카데미 '꿈터' 소속 학생들은 지난 19일 포천소방서 주최로 열린 '일반인 심폐소생술 경연대회'에 출전해 우수상 1팀과 장려상 2팀이라는 눈부신 성과를 거뒀다고 23일 밝혔다.
한국119청소년단 활동의 일환으로 마련된 이번 무대에서 참가 청소년들은 실전 같은 긴장감 속에서도 흔들림 없는 침착함을 뽐냈다. 일상 속 심정지 환자 발생 상황을 가정해 의식 확인부터 119 신속 신고, 심폐소생술(CPR) 시연, 자동심장충격기(AED) 활용까지 생명을 살리는 골든타임 사수 전 과정을 완벽하게 소화해 냈다.
심사위원들은 '꿈터' 3개 팀이 보여준 신속한 상황 판단과 한 치의 오차도 없는 응급 대처 역량에 높은 점수를 주며 수상의 영예를 안겼다.
대회에 나선 한 학생은 "단순한 연습을 넘어, 내 손으로 가족과 시민의 생명을 직접 지킬 수 있다는 강한 자신감을 얻었다"며 벅찬 소감을 전했다.
