<브레이크뉴스 포천 = 김형렬 기자> 포천의 미래를 밝힐 33명의 꼬마 천사들이 지역사회에 따뜻한 온기를 전하기 위해 뭉쳤다.
사단법인 포천시종합자원봉사센터는 지난 21일 포천시청 대회의실에서 '2026년 포천시 어린이봉사단' 발대식을 열고 본격적인 나눔 행보의 닻을 올렸다고 23일 밝혔다.
지난 2021년 첫발을 뗀 포천시 어린이봉사단은 관내 초등학교 4~6학년 학생들로 꾸려진 뜻깊은 모임이다. 올해는 33명의 어린이 단원들이 새롭게 위촉장을 받아 들고, 소외된 이웃을 향한 봉사의 최전선에 선다.

이들 어린이봉사단은 이번 발대식을 신호탄으로 '우리 고장 바로 알기' 프로그램은 물론, 취약계층의 닫힌 마음을 두드리는 맞춤형 자원봉사를 전개할 예정이다. 아이들의 순수한 나눔 활동이 포천시 전역에 긍정적인 나비효과를 불러올 것으로 기대를 모으고 있다.
새내기 단원으로 합류한 한 어린이는 "봉사활동을 직접 체험하면서 우리 동네에 대해 더 깊이 알 수 있을 것 같아 설렌다"며 기대감을 감추지 못했다.
석유화 포천시종합자원봉사센터 사무국장은 "어릴 적 경험한 자원봉사의 기억은 어른이 되어서도 자연스러운 나눔의 씨앗이 된다"며 "우리 아이들이 봉사의 참맛을 느끼고 올 한 해를 의미 있게 보낼 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다"고 전했다.
