(사)한국숲사랑총연합회 경기지역이 지난 21일 마니산 일대에서 산불 예방과 환경 보호의 중요성을 알리는 대대적인 캠페인을 펼치며 눈길을 끌었다.
이번 활동은 ‘우리의 소중한 숲 함께 지켜요’라는 슬로건 아래 진행된 정기 녹색 캠페인으로, 단순한 행사에 그치지 않고 시민 참여형 실천 운동으로 의미를 더했다.

현장에는 김필례 총재를 비롯해 조금복 사무총장, 김미경, 홍두표 수석부총재, 송용운 고문, 유재철 고양시지회장, 박숙준 파주시지회장, 정정희 부총재 등 회원 60여 명이 함께하며 캠페인의 취지를 몸소 실천했다.
참가자들은 주말을 맞아 산을 찾은 등산객들을 대상으로 산불의 위험성과 예방 수칙을 적극적으로 알리며 경각심을 높였다.
특히 건조한 봄철, 사소한 부주의가 대형 산불로 이어질 수 있다는 점을 강조하며 시민들의 자발적인 참여를 유도했다.

이와 함께 등산로 곳곳에 버려진 쓰레기를 수거하는 환경정화 활동도 병행하며 ‘클린 산행’ 문화 확산에 앞장섰다.
김필례 총재는 현장에서 “숲을 지키는 일은 미래 세대를 위한 가장 기본적인 책임”이라며 “누가 시켜서가 아닌 자발적인 참여가 이어질 때 우리 사회는 더욱 건강해진다”고 강조했다.
이어 “산불은 한순간의 방심으로 돌이킬 수 없는 피해를 초래하는 재난인 만큼, 지속적인 관심과 실천이 무엇보다 중요하다”고 당부했다.
