[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 거제시와 거제케이블카 주식회사가 지역 관광 활성화 및 생태교육 인프라 확충을 위한 ‘생태체험학습장 개발 조성사업’투자협약(MOU)를 23일 체결했다.

이번 협약은 거제케이블카의 기존 사업장 신설·확대 투자 의향에 따라 케이블카 상부정류장 일원에 생태체험학습장과 전망시설을 조성하여 체류형 관광 콘텐츠를 확충하고 자연환경을 활용한 체험·교육이 결합된 새로운 지역 관광명소를 조성한다는데 의미가 있다.

이번 협약에 따라 거제시는 사업이 원활하게 추진 될 수 있도록 인·허가 등 행정적 지원을 담당하고, 거제케이블카 주식회사는 약 20억원을 투자해 전망대 및 생태체험학습장 조성 사업을 직접 시행하게 된다.
