기업 근로자의 정착을 유도하기 위한 지원책도 포함됐다. 수도권 등 타 지역에서 이전하는 기업 근로자를 대상으로 임대주택 특별공급과 주택자금 대출 이자 지원을 실시하고, 자녀 교육 여건 개선을 위한 교육 인프라 확충도 병행한다는 계획이다.
이와 함께 산업단지 내 ‘공유 인프라’ 구축도 주요 과제로 제시됐다. 포항시가 직접 24시간 공동 직장어린이집, 통근버스, 근로자 복합문화센터, 녹지공원 등을 조성·운영해 중소·중견기업 근로자들도 대기업 수준의 복지를 누릴 수 있도록 한다는 구상이다.
박 예비후보는 “투자 환경을 여는 단계에서 나아가 기업이 실제로 자리 잡고 성장할 수 있는 기반을 만들어야 한다”며 “청년들이 지역에서 양질의 일자리를 찾고 정착할 수 있는 포항을 구현하겠다”고 밝혔다.
