‘미래비즈니스발전소’는 서·북구 도시경제기반형 재생사업으로 조성된 혁신 플랫폼으로, 청년 창업과 기업 성장을 지원하는 핵심 거점시설이다. 대구TP가 운영을 맡고 있으며, 지난 2016년 국토교통부 공모사업에 선정돼 총사업비 210억 원이 투입됐다.
시설은 서대구복합지식산업센터 일부(‘미래1’, 4~5층, 연면적 4,228㎡)와 이현농산물비축창고(‘미래2’, 1~2층, 연면적 1,710㎡)를 리모델링해 창업 및 기업 성장 공간으로 재생한 것이 특징이다.
입주기업 모집은 예비창업자와 지역 기업을 대상으로 하며, 대구 이전 예정 기업도 신청할 수 있다. 특히 2026년 기준 임대료는 3.3㎡당 약 1만 원 수준으로 전년 대비 약 17% 인하됐고, 인근 시세 대비 약 60% 수준으로 책정돼 기업 부담을 크게 낮췄다.
이와 함께 ▲최대 400만 원 지원(선착순) ▲최초 2개월 임대료 면제 ▲연 6% 전환보증금 제도 등 다양한 혜택이 제공된다. 아울러 맞춤형 스케일업 지원사업 등 기업 성장 프로그램도 병행 운영될 예정이다.
입주 공간이 위치한 서대구복합지식산업센터는 제조형·업무형 공장이 결합된 복합시설로, 도어 투 도어 및 드라이브 인 시스템을 통해 물류 효율성을 높였으며, 편의·문화·지원시설을 갖춰 쾌적한 업무환경을 제공한다. 또한 서대구산업단지 내 입지와 KTX역, 주요 IC와의 인접성으로 접근성도 뛰어나다.
한편 미래비즈니스발전소는 회의, 교육, 전시 등 다양한 용도로 활용 가능한 공간 무료 대관도 운영한다. 약 200명 규모의 다목적홀과 스마트회의실을 갖추고 있어 기업 및 기관 행사 개최를 지원한다.
다목적홀에서는 100만 유튜버 토크콘서트와 개그우먼 김영희의 ‘말자할매 강연’ 등 다양한 공연과 행사가 열린 바 있어, 전시·공연·팝업행사 공간으로서 활용도가 높다.
대구TP 김희대 지능도시본부장은 “미래비즈니스발전소는 청년 창업과 기업 성장을 동시에 지원하는 핵심 거점”이라며 “기업 부담 완화와 실질적 지원 확대를 통해 지역 산업 경쟁력 강화에 기여하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu TP manages the facility, which was selected as a project in a public competition by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in 2016, with a total project cost of 21 billion won invested. The facility is characterized by the regeneration of a portion of the Seodaegu Complex Knowledge Industry Center ('Mirae 1', 4th–5th floors, gross floor area 4,228㎡) and the Ihyeon Agricultural Products Storage Warehouse ('Mirae 2', 1st–2nd floors, gross floor area 1,710㎡) into spaces for startups and corporate growth through remodeling.
Recruitment of tenant companies targets prospective entrepreneurs and local businesses, and companies planning to relocate to Daegu are also eligible to apply. Notably, the rent, based on 2026 figures, is set at approximately 10,000 won per 3.3㎡, a reduction of about 17% compared to the previous year and set at about 60% of the nearby market rate, significantly lowering the burden on companies.

Meanwhile, the Future Business Development Center offers free space rentals for various purposes, including meetings, training, and exhibitions. Equipped with a multi-purpose hall accommodating approximately 200 people and smart meeting rooms, it supports the hosting of events for companies and institutions.
The multi-purpose hall has hosted various performances and events, such as a talk concert by a YouTuber with 1 million subscribers and comedian Kim Young-hee’s "Malja Halmae Lecture," making it highly versatile as a space for exhibitions, performances, and pop-up events. Kim Hee-dae, Head of the Intelligent City Division at Daegu TP, stated, “The Future Business Development Center is a key hub that simultaneously supports youth startups and corporate growth,” adding, “We will contribute to strengthening regional industrial competitiveness by alleviating corporate burdens and expanding practical support.”
