【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경상북도교육청이 문화예술 체험 기회가 부족한 지역 유아를 위해 ‘찾아가는 공연’ 사업을 확대 운영한다.
경북교육청은 25일, 영유아 수 500명 미만인 지역의 유치원과 어린이집을 대상으로 ‘모락모락 온(溫)맘놀이터’ 사업을 올해 4월부터 12월까지 추진한다고 밝혔다.
이번 사업 대상 지역은 의성, 청송, 영양, 영덕, 청도, 고령, 성주, 봉화, 울릉 등 도내 9개 군 단위 취약 지역이다.
‘찾아가는 공연’ 사업은 지역 예술단이 교육기관을 직접 방문해 공연과 체험을 제공하는 방식으로 진행된다.
인형극, 국악, 클래식 등 유아 눈높이에 맞춘 다양한 프로그램이 준비돼 있으며, 기관별로 연 2회 공연이 이뤄질 예정이다.
올해는 지원 대상을 기존 영유아 300명 미만에서 500명 미만까지로 확대했다. 이에 따라 더 많은 유아가 문화예술 체험 기회를 누릴 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
특히, 재원 아동 40명 이하 소규모 기관을 중심으로 유치원과 어린이집이 함께 팀을 이뤄 약 25개 팀이 구성된다. 문화 접근성이 낮은 지역을 우선 배정해 공연이 제공된다.
경북교육청은 이번 사업을 통해 문화 소외 지역 유아들의 정서 발달과 창의성을 키우는 동시에, 지역 예술단 활동 기반도 함께 넓혀갈 방침이다.
임종식 경북교육감은 “지원 대상을 확대함으로써 그동안 문화예술을 접하기 어려웠던 아이들에게 더 폭넓은 경험의 기회를 제공할 수 있게 됐다”며 “모든 유아가 균등한 교육 기회를 누릴 수 있도록 지속적으로 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
