[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 함양군 상하수도사업소는 2026년 상수도 업무 개선사례 발표회에서 기후에너지환경부 장관상을 수상했다고 25일 밝혔다.
함양군 상하수도사업소는 정보통신기술을 기반으로 한 상수도통합관리센터를 전국 최초로 구축했으며 2021년부터 2025년까지 5년 연속 일반수도사업 운영관리 평가에서 최우수 등급을 받았다.
특히 3년 연속 전국 1위를 달성하고 2025년에도 전국 2위를 기록하는 등 상수도 운영관리 분야에서 우수한 성과를 거두고 있다.
이번 발표회는 서울특별시와 인천광역시 등 전국 주요 기관이 참여한 가운데 진행됐으며 함양군은 최초 참가임에도 업무 개선 우수사례로 선정되는 성과를 거뒀다.
1차 서류심사를 거쳐 상위 10%에 해당하는 6개의 단체가 현장 발표에 참여했으며 이중 함양군 상하수도사업소는 '소규모 지자체 맞춤형 위기관리 체계 고도화'를 주제로 발표했다.
함양군은 예산과 인력이 제한적인 소규모 지자체 환경에 최적화된 위기관리 대응체계를 집중 조명했으며 상수도 사고 현장에서 즉각 적용할 수 있는 재난 대응 모델과 실제 현장 적용 사례를 구체적으로 제시하며 심사위원들의 높은 평가를 받았다.
이날, 수상자는 함양군 상하수도사업소 강영모 주무관과 인천광역시 상수도사업본부 최광우 주무관이 기후에너지환경부 장관상을, 서울물연구원 한지선 연구사가 협회장상을 받았다.
