포항시북구선거관리위원회는 25일 오후 죽도시장 일대에서 시민단체 ‘포항시바른선거시민모임’과 함께 유권자 대상 홍보 활동을 진행했다고 밝혔다.
이날 행사에는 선관위 사무국장과 직원, 바른선거시민모임 회원 등 50여 명이 참여해 시장을 찾은 시민과 관광객을 상대로 홍보 물품을 나눠주며 투표 참여를 독려했다.
선관위 측은 “시민단체와의 협업을 통해 공명선거 분위기를 확산하고 유권자에게 필요한 선거 정보를 보다 효과적으로 전달하기 위해 이번 캠페인을 마련했다”고 설명했다.
또한 “4월과 5월에도 지역 주요 장소를 순회하며 홍보 활동을 이어갈 계획”이라며 시민들의 적극적인 참여를 당부했다.
한편 제9회 전국동시지방선거 사전투표는 5월 29일부터 30일까지 이틀간 실시되며, 본투표는 6월 3일 진행된다.
