[브레이크뉴스 의정부=김완영 기자] 경기도의정부시장애인체육회(회장 김동근)가 지역 장애인체육 활성화와 전문성 강화를 위해 새로운 임원진을 구성하고 본격적인 활동에 나섰다.
의정부시장애인체육회는 지난 24일 의정부시청 시장실에서 ‘이사회 신임 임원 위촉식’을 개최했다고 밝혔다. 이번 보선을 통해 부회장 4명과 이사 12명 등 총 16명이 새롭게 선임됐다. 의료계, 기업 대표, 전직 체육교사, 장애인 선수 출신 등 다양한 분야의 전문가들이 참여해 향후 장애인체육 정책 수립과 현장 지원에 있어 보다 입체적인 역할을 수행할 것으로 기대된다.
위촉식은 위촉장 수여와 기념촬영 순으로 간소하게 진행됐으며, 이후 오찬 간담회를 통해 장애인체육 발전 방향에 대한 의견을 나누는 소통의 시간도 마련됐다.
김동근 회장(의정부시장)은 “새롭게 구성된 임원진의 풍부한 경험과 전문성이 우리 시 장애인체육 발전의 든든한 밑거름이 될 것”이라며 “장애인들이 체육 활동을 통해 더욱 행복하고 건강한 삶을 누릴 수 있는 ‘장애인 체육 복지 도시 의정부’를 만드는 데 함께 힘써달라”고 당부했다. 이어 “임원으로 위촉된 것 자체가 지역사회를 위한 봉사의 시작”이라며 감사와 격려의 뜻을 전했다.
