Uijeongbu City Sports Association for the Disabled Appoints 16 Board Members in By-election... “Strengthening Field-Oriented Sports Administration”
The rich experience and expertise of the newly appointed executives will serve as a solid foundation for the development of sports for the disabled in our city.
[Break News Uijeongbu = Reporter Kim Wan-young] The Gyeonggi-do Uijeongbu City Sports Association for the Disabled (President Kim Dong-geun) has formed a new executive team to revitalize local sports for the disabled and strengthen professional expertise, and has begun full-scale activities.
The Uijeongbu City Sports Association for the Disabled announced that it held an ‘Appointment Ceremony for New Board Members’ at the Mayor’s office in Uijeongbu City Hall on the 24th.
Through this by-election, a total of 16 individuals were newly appointed, including 4 Vice Presidents and 12 Directors. With the participation of experts from diverse fields—including the medical community, corporate representatives, former physical education teachers, and former athletes for the disabled—it is expected that they will play a more multifaceted role in establishing sports policies for the disabled and providing on-site support in the future. The appointment ceremony proceeded simply, consisting of the presentation of appointment certificates and a commemorative photo session. Following the ceremony, a luncheon meeting was held to foster communication and share opinions on the future direction of sports for the disabled.
Chairman Kim Dong-geun (Mayor of Uijeongbu) stated, “The rich experience and expertise of the newly appointed executives will serve as a solid foundation for the development of sports for the disabled in our city.” He urged the new members to “work together to create a ‘Sports Welfare City for the Disabled, Uijeongbu,’ where people with disabilities can enjoy happier and healthier lives through sports activities.” He further expressed his gratitude and encouragement, noting that “being appointed as an executive is the very beginning of service to the local community.”
Meanwhile, the newly appointed executives are as follows. The following individuals were appointed as Vice Chairmen: Ko Seong-hyeon (Head of Seoul Prime Internal Medicine Clinic), Kim Si-hyeok (Managing Director of Saehan Credit Information Co., Ltd.), Son Ha-young (CEO of Ilmi Mandu Co., Ltd.), and Ko Young-jin (Hospital Director of Uijeongbu Mokeri Oriental Medicine Hospital).
