사단법인 도시공동체본부(이사장 이가희)가 3월 25일 세종시 아름동 복합커뮤니티센터에서 '제1회 지속가능한 도시공동체 포럼'을 개최했다.
이번 포럼은 대한민국 과학기술계 원로의 축사와 기조강연으로 문을 열어, 도시혁신·ESG·글로벌 네트워크를 아우르는 미래 도시공동체의 청사진을 제시했다.
포럼에 이어 2026년도 정기총회가 진행되어, 조직 운영의 투명성과 시민 참여를 동시에 확보하는 통합 행사로 진행됐다.
이날 포럼은 대한민국 과학기술계의 원로 장인순 박사와 한국원자력연구원 원자력재료연구단장을 역임한 정용환 박사의 추천사로 시작됐다.

박 박사는 '미래의 도시, 도시의 미래'를 주제로 AI 시대의 도래가 도시와 삶의 방식을 근본적으로 바꿀 것이라 진단하며, "지능형 도시(Intelligent City)가 이상향이 되려면 기술만으로는 부족하고, 사랑과 행복, 좋은 관계가 도시의 중심에 있어야 한다"며, 도시공동체본부가 추구하는 방향이 시대적 과제와 정확히 맞닿아 있음을 강조했다.
이어진 비전 발표에서 이형구 상임대표이사는 도시공동체본부의 철학적 기반과 핵심 전략을 밝혔다.

이가희 이사장은 특히 "시민이 함께 만들고, 모두가 행복하게 성장하는 지속가능한 도시"라는 비전을 선포하며, 시민이 참여자·학습자·정책 생산자·전문가로 성장하는 4단계 경로를 통해 정책의 수혜자를 넘어 정책의 주체로 자리매김할 수 있는 체계를 제시했다.
