파주시의회가 지역 주요 현안과 민생 예산을 다루기 위한 임시회 일정에 본격 착수했다.

파주시의회는 25일 제262회 임시회를 개회하고 오는 4월 3일까지 10일간의 의사일정에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.
이번 임시회에서는 의원 발의 조례안 15건을 포함해 집행부가 제출한 조례안과 동의안 13건, 그리고 2026년도 제1회 추가경정예산안 및 기금운용계획 변경안 등 총 30건의 안건이 각 상임위원회에 회부돼 심도 있는 심사가 진행될 예정이다.
특히 예산결산특별위원회에서 다룰 추가경정예산안은 민생과 직결되는 핵심 안건으로 주목된다.
이번 추경안은 일반회계가 577억 원 증가한 2조203억 원, 특별회계는 26억 원 늘어난 3천999억 원으로 편성되며, 본예산 2조3천599억 원 대비 603억 원 증가한 총 2조4천202억 원 규모로 확대됐다.
의회는 각 위원회 심사를 거친 뒤 오는 4월 3일 열리는 제2차 본회의에서 해당 예산안을 최종 의결할 방침이다.
박대성 의장은 한 해 주요 사업이 본격적으로 추진되는 시기인 만큼 그간 보고된 주요 업무가 차질 없이 이행될 수 있도록 철저한 점검이 필요하다고 설명했으며 이어 고물가와 고금리 상황으로 어려움을 겪는 시민들에게 이번 추경이 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있도록 면밀하고 신중한 심의를 당부했다.
