더불어민주당 세종특별자치시당 공직선거후보자추천관리위원회(이하 공관위, 위원장 봉정현)는 26일 오후 6시 30분 세종시당 대회의실에서 제7차 회의를 열고 제2차 공천심사 결과를 공식 발표했다.
이날 회의에서는 세종시 지역 각 선거구별 예비후보자들에 대한 심사 결과가 보고되고, 2차 심사를 통과한 후보자 명단이 최종 확정됐다.
공관위는 이번 심사를 통해 후보자의 도덕성, 지역 활동 경력, 정책 역량, 당 기여도 등 다양한 요소를 종합 평가했으며, 일부 선거구에서는 단수추천을, 일부 지역은 경선 실시를 결정했다.
봉정현 위원장은 “당과 시민이 함께 신뢰할 수 있는 인물 중심의 공천을 위해 면밀한 검증 과정을 거쳤다”며 “남은 지역에 대해서도 동일한 기준으로 투명하게 심사를 진행하겠다”고 밝혔다.
또한 공관위는 현재 세종시 내 선거구 획정으로 인해 변경이 예상되는 일부 지역과 계속심사가 필요한 지역에 대해 후속 논의를 이어가기로 했다. 위원회는 “불확실한 선거구 상황에도 신속하게 대응해 공천 절차를 조속히 마무리하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
더불어민주당 세종시당은 향후 추가 회의를 통해 공천심사 잔여 지역에 대한 심사를 마무리하고, 최종 공천 후보 명단을 확정·발표할 예정이다.
한편 2차 공천심사 결과 발표에 따르면 제1선거구 조치원읍은 송원준, 정연희 경선을 결정하고, 조치원읍 2선거구는 윤성규 단수 공천, 14선거구 소담동은 김현미와 이윤희 경선으로 확정 발표했다.
