<브레이크뉴스 포천 = 김형렬 기자> 포천시 바르게살기운동 창수면위원회가 다가오는 봄을 맞아 우리나라 꽃 무궁화를 직접 심으며 지역사회에 뜻깊은 나라사랑의 의미를 전파했다.

포천시는 바르게살기운동 창수면위원회가 지난 26일 창수면 운산리 일원에서 주민들의 애국심을 고취하고 아름다운 마을 환경을 가꾸기 위한 ‘나라사랑 무궁화 심기’ 행사를 성황리에 개최했다고 27일 밝혔다.

이날 행사에는 이봉환 위원장을 비롯한 창수면위원회 소속 회원들과 포천시협의회 관계자 등 30여 명이 두 팔을 걷어붙이고 나섰다. 참가자들은 쾌적한 마을 길 조성을 위해 무궁화 묘목 300주를 정성스럽게 식재하고, 주변 환경 정화 활동까지 구슬땀을 흘리며 병행했다.
이번 무궁화 식재 행사는 우리 꽃의 아름다움과 소중함을 지역 사회에 널리 알리고, 이웃과 함께 흙을 만지며 끈끈한 공동체 의식을 다지는 훈훈한 소통의 장이 되었다는 평가다.
