대전 동구의 교육 지형을 바꿀 공공형 외국어 교육 거점, ‘동구 글로벌 드림캠퍼스’가 마침내 베일을 벗고 본격적인 운영 준비를 마쳤다.
대전 동구는 28일 학부모와 어린이, 지역 인사 등 약 500여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘동구 글로벌 드림캠퍼스’ 개관식 및 체험 행사를 성황리에 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 시설은 단순한 언어 학습 공간을 넘어, 아이들이 놀이와 문화를 통해 자연스럽게 영어를 접할 수 있는 ‘체험형 교육 공간’으로 꾸며졌다.
이날 행사장에는 박희조 동구청장을 비롯해 이장우 대전시장, 오관영 동구의회 의장 등이 참석해 자리를 빛냈다. 특히 단순한 기념식을 넘어 온 가족이 즐길 수 있는 축제의 장으로 마련되어 눈길을 끌었다.
어린이들의 호기심을 자극하는 마술쇼부터 세계 문화를 직접 경험해보는 테마 프로그램, 가상 현실을 활용한 ‘버츄얼큐브’ 미디어실 체험 등이 진행되어 참가자들의 뜨거운 찬사를 받았다.
