(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시 보건환경연구원이 30일, 여름철 기온 상승과 강한 일사량으로 오존 농도가 높아지는 시기를 맞아 시민들이 고농도 오존을 사전에 대비할 수 있도록 ‘오존 예보 알림서비스’를 운영하고 있다고 밝혔다.
보건환경연구원에 따르면, 오존은 여름철 기온상승과 대기 중 휘발성유기화합물 및 질소산화물 등의 광화학반응을 통해 생성되는 2차 오염물질로, 주로 여름철 오후 시간대에 농도가 높아지는 특징을 보인다.
최근 기후변화 등의 영향으로 인천시 평균 오존농도는 2016년 0.025ppm에서 2025년 0.0338ppm 수준으로 매년 증가하는 추세다.
