포항시의회(의장 김일만)는 30일 오전 본회의를 열고 8일간의 일정으로 제329회 임시회를 개회했다.
이날 본회의에 앞서 진행된 5분 자유발언에서는 지역 현안과 정책 개선을 촉구하는 다양한 의견이 제시됐다.
안병국 의원은 영일대해수욕장의 버스킹 및 거리공연 운영과 관련해 공연 위치의 불안정성과 소음 민원, 상인과의 갈등 문제를 지적하며 상설 공연무대 설치를 통해 체류형 문화관광지로의 전환을 제안했다.
양윤제 의원은 남구청사가 증가하는 행정 수요를 충분히 반영하지 못하고 있다며 행정기관의 독립성과 상징성 확보, 시민 편의 증진을 위해 남구청 독립청사 신축·이전을 촉구했다.
김영헌 의원은 국제 정세 불안으로 인한 유가 상승과 물가 상승이 지역 경제에 미치는 영향을 언급하며 농·어업인과 수출기업을 위한 실질적 지원 방안 마련과 선제적 대응을 주문했다.
김성조 의원은 장량동이 여러 선거구로 분리돼 있는 점을 지적하며 생활권 혼란과 행정 비효율 해소를 위해 행정동 경계와 일치하는 단일 선거구 설정 필요성을 제기했다.
김은주 의원은 상생근린공원 도로공사와 관련한 주민설명회 지연 문제를 지적하고, 교통·환경영향평가 반영 여부에 대한 명확한 설명과 추가 설명회 개최를 요구했다.
이어 본회의에서는 ▲임시회 회기 결정 ▲회의록 서명의원 선출 ▲2025회계연도 결산검사위원 선임 등의 안건을 의결했다.
포항시의회는 오는 4월 5일까지 조례안 등 안건을 심사한 뒤, 6일 제2차 본회의에서 최종 의결을 통해 이번 임시회를 마무리할 예정이다.

The Pohang City Council plans to review agenda items, including ordinance bills, until April 5, and conclude this extraordinary session through final resolutions at the second plenary session on the 6th.
