한국농어촌공사 파주지사는 지난 27일 지사 소회의실에서 청년농 소통간담회를 개최했다.

이번 간담회에는 지역을 대표하는 청년농업인과 유관기관 및 공사 담당자 등 10여 명이 참석해 청년농업인이 현장에서 체감하는 어려움을 공유하고, 농지지원 제도의 개선 방향을 함께 논의했다.

파주지사는 농지은행의 '맞춤형농지지원사업'과 '농지임대수탁사업'을 통해 지난해 194농가에 128ha의 농지를 지원하며 청년농의 영농 정착을 이끌어 왔으며 올해부터는 청년농을 대상으로 선임대후매도사업, 비축농지 임대형 스마트팜사업 등의 예산을 대폭 확대하고, 초기 자본 확보에 어려움을 겪는 청년농에 대한 지원을 강화할 계획이다.

전홍성 지사장은 "미래농업을 이끌어갈 청년농이 성공적으로 영농활동을 수행할 수 있도록 역할을 다하겠다"며 "이번 소통간담회를 계기로 농업의 더 큰 미래를 준비하는 밑거름이 되도록 하겠다"고 밝혔다.
