파주시 금촌2동이 새 학기를 맞아 청소년 보호를 위한 현장 중심 활동에 나서며 지역사회 안전망 강화에 힘을 쏟고 있다.

금촌2동 청소년지도협의회는 지난 26일 금촌고등학교 하굣길 일대에서 청소년 유해환경 단속 및 계도 활동을 실시했다.
이번 활동은 청소년보호법 준수 여부를 점검하고 청소년들이 유해업소에 노출되는 것을 사전에 차단하기 위해 마련됐으며 특히 단속 중심이 아닌 예방과 계도에 초점을 맞춰 진행되며 청소년들이 보다 안전하고 건전한 환경에서 생활할 수 있도록 유도하는 데 중점을 뒀다.
이날 참가자들은 하교 시간에 맞춰 금촌고 학생들을 대상으로 유해환경 예방 홍보물을 배부하며 청소년 스스로 경각심을 가질 수 있도록 안내하는 활동을 펼쳤다.
고미영 금촌2동 청소년지도협의회 부회장은 우리 아이들이 유해환경에 단 한순간도 노출되지 않도록 지속적인 점검과 홍보를 이어가겠다고 설명했으며 이어 현장 중심의 실천을 통해 청소년 보호 활동을 더욱 강화하겠다는 의지를 밝혔다.
강영도 금촌2동장은 청소년 보호는 특정 기관만의 역할이 아닌 지역사회 전체가 함께 책임져야 할 과제라고 강조했고 이어 민관이 협력해 청소년들이 안전하고 건강하게 성장할 수 있는 환경 조성에 지속적으로 힘쓰겠다고 말했다.
