고양특례시 주엽1동 행정복지센터는 지난 30일 주엽동 강선공원에서 제1차 찾아가는 복지상담소를 운영하고 지역 주민들에게 맞춤형 복지 상담을 제공했다.

이번 상담소 운영은 주민들이 일상생활 속에서 복지서비스에 쉽게 접근할 수 있도록 하고 복지 사각지대를 해소하기 위해 기획됐으며 특히 일산서구보건소와 협력해 복지와 건강을 아우르는 통합 상담을 진행했다.
현장에서는 기초연금과 긴급복지 등 맞춤형 복지상담을 비롯해 복지정책 홍보, 위기가구 발굴을 위한 상담이 이뤄졌고 또한 치매 조기검진 안내 및 예방교육 등 다양한 서비스를 안내하며 주민들의 실질적인 어려움을 듣고 해소하는 데 집중했다.
유동 인구가 많은 강선공원에서 운영됨에 따라 관공서 방문이 어려운 주민들도 자연스럽게 상담에 참여할 수 있어 접근성이 크게 향상됐다는 평가를 받았다.
