【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항시가 경기침체로 어려움을 겪고 있는 지역 소상공인과 중소기업의 경영 부담 완화를 위해 공유재산 임대료를 한시적으로 인하한다.
이번 조치는 지난해 12월 30일 행정안전부의 ‘소상공인 등에 대한 공유재산 사용 부담 완화 적용 기간에 관한 고시’ 시행에 따른 것으로, 포항시는 임대료 요율을 소상공인은 기존 5%에서 1%로, 중소기업은 5%에서 3%로 인하하기로 했다.
감면 기간은 2026년 1월 1일부터 12월 31일까지이며, 지원 대상은 포항시 소유 공유재산을 임차해 직접 사용하는 소상공인과 중소기업이 대상이다. 다만 유흥주점업과 사행성 업종 등 일부 업종은 지원 대상에서 제외된다.
임대료 감면 관련 신청은 오는 5월 29일까지 사용허가 또는 대부계약 체결 부서에 신청서와 소상공인·중소기업 확인서 등 관련 서류를 제출하면 심사를 거쳐 감면 혜택을 받을 수 있다.
이미 임대료를 납부한 경우에는 감면액을 소급 적용해 환급할 예정이다.
포항시는 이번 조치가 지역 내 소상공인과 중소기업의 경영 부담을 줄이고 여건 개선에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대하고 있다.
신정희 재정관리과장은 “임대료 인하가 소상공인과 중소기업의 경영 부담을 덜어주는 실질적인 지원책이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 지역 경제 상황을 반영한 지원을 지속해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편 임대료 감면 관련 신청은 시 공유재산을 임대한 해당 부서의 안내에 따라 진행될 예정으로, 자세한 사항은 해당 부서로 문의하면 된다.
