거점형·연계형 등 7개 기관 시범 운영… 아침·저녁·토요일 돌봄 확대
‘기관 간 협력’으로 사각지대 해소… 학부모 이용 편의성 대폭 강화
대전광역시교육청이 학부모들의 다양한 근무 형태와 변화하는 양육 환경에 발맞춰 유치원과 어린이집 어디서나 빈틈없는 돌봄 서비스를 받을 수 있는 ‘틈새봄’ 시범 사업을 추진한다.
‘틈새봄’은 돌봄이 필요한 시간과 공간을 촘촘하게 메워 아이들의 건강한 성장을 지원한다는 의미를 담고 있다. 이번 사업은 지난해 실시한 거점형 돌봄 운영 결과를 바탕으로 모델을 보완·확대한 것으로, 유치원 3곳과 어린이집 4곳 등 총 7개 기관이 참여한다.
이번 사업의 핵심 중 하나인 ‘거점형 돌봄기관(6개소)’은 이용 대상을 해당 기관 재원생으로 한정하지 않고 인근 지역 타 기관 아이들에게까지 개방하는 것이 특징이다.
특히 맞벌이 부부 등 돌봄 수요가 집중되는 이른 아침과 늦은 저녁, 토요일 시간대에 집중적으로 서비스를 제공해 기존 돌봄 체계의 사각지대를 해소할 방침이다. 학부모는 시교육청 누리집에 게시된 정보를 확인해 원하는 기관에 직접 신청할 수 있어 접근성도 한층 높아졌다.
올해 처음 도입되는 ‘연계형 돌봄(1개소)’은 단독으로 돌봄 운영이 어려운 소규모 기관들이 자원을 공유하는 협력 모델이다. 아침·저녁 시간대나 방학 기간처럼 돌봄 인력이 부족한 취약 환경에서도 기관 간 연계를 통해 끊김 없는 서비스를 제공하는 것이 목적이다.
