고양특례시가 우리 전통문화의 가치를 계승하고 시민들에게 특별한 결혼식의 추억을 선사하기 위한 전통혼례 지원에 나선다.
고양특례시는 고양문화원과 함께 ‘2026년 전통혼례 지원 프로그램’ 참여자를 모집한다고 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 전통 예법에 따른 혼례를 통해 우리 고유의 결혼 문화를 알리고, 경제적 여건 등으로 예식을 치르기 어려운 시민들에게 의미 있는 결혼식을 지원하기 위해 추진되고 있다.

지난 2020년 시작된 이후 지금까지 총 42쌍의 부부가 이 프로그램을 통해 전통혼례를 올렸다.
올해는 고양시에 거주하는 시민 가운데 저소득층, 다문화가족, 북한이탈주민, 장애인, 국가유공자 및 유족 등을 대상으로 총 7쌍을 선정해 지원할 예정이다.
선정된 예비부부에게는 전통혼례에 필요한 다양한 항목이 무상으로 제공된다.
전통혼례복 대여를 비롯해 헤어·메이크업 등 미용 서비스, 집례 요원 등 예식 진행에 필요한 제반 비용이 지원되며, 예식의 감동을 오래 간직할 수 있도록 기념사진 액자도 함께 제공된다.
예식은 고양문화원 한옥 안마당에서 진행되는 야외 전통혼례 방식으로 치러지며, 우천 시에는 실내 대강당에서 진행된다.
