파주문화재단, ‘가가호호’ 문화예술교육 운영기관 선정

파주문화재단이 한국문화예술교육진흥원이 주관하는 2026 생활밀착형 문화예술교육 지원사업 ‘가가호호’ 운영기관에 선정됐다.

이번 선정으로 재단은 국비 5천만원을 확보하며, 지역 가족들이 일상 속에서 문화예술을 자연스럽게 접할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 펼칠 계획이다.

‘가가호호’는 가족 단위 시민들이 생활 공간 가까이에서 문화예술을 경험하고 공감할 수 있도록 돕는 사업이며 파주문화재단은 이를 통해 시민의 삶과 지역 문화공간을 연결하면서 문화예술교육의 새로운 방향을 모색하고 있다.

사업은 율곡문화학당, 파주시가족센터, 국립민속박물관 파주, 미메시스 아트뮤지엄 등 파주의 대표적인 문화거점 4곳에서 진행된다. 

율곡문화학당과 파주시가족센터에서는 가족 간 소통과 교류를 강화하는 참여형 프로그램이, 국립민속박물관 파주에서는 전통 생활문화와 아카이브를 결합한 교육이, 미메시스 아트뮤지엄에서는 공간과 건축을 활용한 체험형 예술 프로그램이 선보인다.

김영준 파주문화재단 대표이사는 “이번 ‘가가호호’ 사업 선정은 가족을 보다 넓은 시각에서 바라보고, 시민의 삶 가까운 곳에서 생활문화와 예술의 출발점을 마련했다는 점에서 큰 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로도 지역의 풍부한 문화자원과 포용적인 예술교육을 연계해 누구나 일상에서 문화를 누릴 수 있는 시민 중심의 문화 생태계를 조성하겠다”고 말했다.

The Paju Cultural Foundation has been selected as the operating agency for the 2026 ‘Gagahoho’ project, a community-based arts and culture education support program organized by the Korea Arts Education Foundation.

With this selection, the Foundation has secured 50 million won in state funding and plans to launch various programs that allow local families to naturally encounter arts and culture in their daily lives.

‘Gagahoho’ is a project designed to help citizens, as families, experience and empathize with arts and culture close to their living spaces. Through this initiative, the Paju Cultural Foundation is exploring new directions for arts and culture education by connecting citizens' lives with local cultural spaces.

The project will be conducted at four of Paju’s representative cultural hubs: the Yulgok Cultural Academy, the Paju Family Center, the National Folk Museum of Korea Paju, and the Mimesis Art Museum. The Yulgok Cultural Academy and the Paju Family Center are presenting participatory programs designed to strengthen communication and exchange among families; the National Folk Museum of Korea, Paju, is offering educational programs that combine traditional lifestyle culture with archives; and the Mimesis Art Museum is showcasing experiential art programs that utilize space and architecture.

Kim Young-jun, CEO of the Paju Cultural Foundation, stated, “The selection of this ‘Gagahoho’ project holds great significance in that it views the family from a broader perspective and establishes a starting point for lifestyle culture and art close to the lives of citizens.” He added, “Moving forward, we will connect the region’s rich cultural resources with inclusive art education to create a citizen-centered cultural ecosystem where everyone can enjoy culture in their daily lives.”
