고양특례시가 데이터 기반 행정 역량을 다시 한 번 입증하며 스마트 도시로서의 위상을 강화했다.
고양특례시는 행정안전부가 주관한 ‘2025 데이터기반행정 실태점검 및 평가’에서 최고 등급인 ‘우수’를 획득했다고 밝혔다.
이번 평가는 중앙부처와 지방자치단체, 공공기관 등 총 684개 기관을 대상으로 데이터 분석 역량과 관리 체계 등 11개 지표를 종합적으로 점검한 결과다.
고양시는 92.23점을 기록하며 기초지자체 평균인 65.6점을 크게 웃도는 성과를 냈다.
특히 지난해에 이어 2년 연속 우수기관으로 선정되면서 데이터 행정을 선도하는 도시로서의 입지를 확고히 했다.
이번 성과는 데이터 분석을 행정 전반에 적극적으로 접목한 결과로 평가된다.
시는 방범용 CCTV 설치 위치를 결정하는 과정에서 기존 설치 현황과 민원 요청, 행정구역 경계 데이터를 종합 분석해 범죄 사각지대를 최소화하는 데 주력했다.
또한 대규모 공연 개최 시에는 유동 인구와 방문객 증가율, 시간대별 인구 데이터를 분석해 안전 관리와 지역 경제 효과를 동시에 고려한 정책을 추진했다.
민원 행정에서도 데이터 활용이 두드러졌다.
텍스트 분석 기반으로 민원과 정보공개청구 데이터를 체계적으로 분석해 시민 요구를 사전에 파악하고 대응하는 체계를 구축했다.

또한 지속적인 교육을 통해 공직자의 AI 역량을 한층 끌어올린다는 방침이다.
