【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=농협경제지주 충북본부는 3일 고용노동부 청주지청 대회의실에서 ‘산업재해예방 유공’ 표창장을 수상했다.
이번 표창은 평소 다양한 사회공헌활동 및 축사 지붕공사 추락사고 감축을 위한 고용노동부 청주지청의 홍보·교육사업에 적극 협조한 공로를 인정받아 수여됐다.
최근 통계에 따르면, 지난 3년간(2022~2024년) 전국에서 발생한 지붕공사 사망자 94명 중 축사 관련 사망자는 26명으로 전체의 약 28%에 달하는 것으로 나타났다.
이에 농협경제지주 충북본부는 지난해 9월 고용노동부 청주지청, 한국산업안전보건공단과 업무협약을 체결하여 충북 관내 농축협 조합원과 축산농가 대상으로 지붕공사 추락사고 예방을 위한 홍보 및 교육을 지속적으로 실시하는 등 산업재해 예방을 위해 앞장서 왔다.
이날 총괄본부장을 대신해 표창을 수여받은 이성원 충북축산사업단 단장은“농업인의 생명과 직결된 안전사고를 예방하는 것이 농협의 중요한 역할이다”며 “앞으로도 고용노동부 청주지청과 협력하여 산업재해 예방에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
