[브레이크뉴스 의정부=김완영 기자] 경기도 의정부시 직장운동경기부 빙상팀(감독 제갈성렬)이 지난 3월 27일부터 29일까지 태릉 국제스케이트장에서 열린 ‘2026 한국실업빙상경기연맹 회장배 스피드스케이팅대회’에서 종합우승을 차지했다.
이번 우승으로 의정부시청 빙상팀은 해당 대회 10년 연속 종합우승이라는 기록을 달성했다.
해당 대회에서 빙상팀은 금메달 5개, 은메달 3개를 획득했다. 특히 올해 1월 합류한 신예 정희단 선수가 여자부 500m와 1,500m에서 각각 금메달을 목에 걸며 대회 2관왕에 올랐다.
시 관계자는 “시즌 내내 성과를 이어온 선수들에게 감사하다”며 “빙상팀이 안정적으로 훈련을 이어갈 수 있도록 행정적·재정적 지원을 계속해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 2025~2026 시즌을 성공적으로 마무리한 빙상팀은 짧은 휴식 후 다음 시즌을 위한 본격적인 담금질에 들어갈 예정이다.
