(나주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전라남도농업기술원이 본격적인 영농철을 맞아 농기계 사용 급증에 대비하고 농업인들의 불편을 해소하기 위해 ‘찾아가는 농기계 순회수리 봉사’에 나선다.
이번 순회수리는 농기계 교관과 품목별 전문지도사 등 10명으로 구성된 전남도-시군 합동수리반이 참여하며, 오는 7월 말까지 추진될 예정이다. 지원 대상은 영광 낙월면을 포함해 지리적 접근성이 낮은 도서 지역과 산간 오지 등 7개 시군 21개 마을이다.
농기계 수리뿐만 아니라 현장 중심의 교육도 강화한다. 수리 기간 중 농업인들에게 농기계 점검 및 정비 요령, 안전관리 방법 등을 직접 전수하여 농업인 스스로의 수리 능력을 높이고 안전사고 예방 역량을 강화할 방침이다.
특히 고령 농가, 취약계층, 여성농업인이 소유한 농기계에 대해서는 직접 농가를 방문해 정비 서비스를 제공하는 ‘맞춤형 지원’을 펼친다. 고장으로 방치된 기계들은 마을회관 등 거점 현장에서 즉시 수리하여 영농 현장에 바로 투입될 수 있도록 돕는다.
